We believe that all children have the potential to do great things. As their teachers, it is our
pleasure to provide my students with a myriad of opportunities in order to bring out their
full potential.

I am still amazed at how your children will blossom throughout their years in school. As parents, I am sure that you marvel daily at your

Teaching has been a rewarding and challenging experience. Each day, I look forward to interacting with my students and learning as
much from them as they do from me.
I was born and raised in South Florida. I graduated from Hialeah-Miami Lakes Senior High in 1996 and earned my Bachelor’s Degree in
Elementary Education from FIU in 2000. In 2003, I earned a Master’s Degree in Reading Education. In 2004, I became certified by the
National Board of Professional Teaching Standards in Literacy: Reading/Language Arts. I have worked for the National Board during the
summers and assisted in training teachers from across the country. In 2009, I coauthored two teacher resource books for Carson-Dellosa
Publishing, Inc. - Step Up to Writing: Primary and Step Up to Writing: Intermediate. In 2019, I received a town grant for the program
Throwing Kindness Like Confetti: Celebrating and Empowering Girls through Art and Literature. This program was featured on NBC 6
News as part of a celebration of teachers who are making a difference in their community.
This is my twentieth year teaching in Miami-Dade County. I began my career at Palm Springs North Elementary and was part of the
inaugural faculty at BGEC. I have taught second, third, and fourth grade.
My husband and I are the proud parents of two wonderful children, Amanda and Andrew.
I look forward to working with you and your child! Together we will make this a successful and productive school year.
